John Paintsil,
Black Stars defender, John Paintsil, was handed a starting role in Fulham’s  3-1 win over Celtic in a pre-season game at Craven Cottage on Saturday. On the pitch, he lasted 80 minutes in the game that featured five of Fulham manager, Roy Hodgson’s, summer singing.The 27-year old is reported to have been compatible with winger Zoltan Gera at Fulham’s right flank. Pantsil, bursting with energy and enthusiasm, was never shy to head up field.He will join the rest of the Fulham set up as they head for Korea on Sunday to take part in two further pre-season friendly games. Fulham will play: Busan l'Park on Wednesday and Ulsan Hyundai on Saturday.

Pope Benedict met victims of sexual abuse by the Catholic clergy in the last hours of his nine-day visit to Australia, underlining his earlier public apology for the pain they have suffered.
But his efforts have been criticised by victim support groups, who accused the church of stage managing the meeting, choosing people who would not speak out.

Adusu Alhaji Ola Sabonkudi, the Publicity Chairman of the Zongo Friends of Nana Akuffo-Addo (ZOFONA) in the Ayawaso East Constituency, said Ghanaians are not prepared to go to back to the Wahala days of NDC again. Speaking to Network Herald in the Constituency, Alhaji Ola said the NDC party had deceived them and made them suffer in diverse ways during their tenure of office and it is the NPP that has come to rescue and enlighten them.
